Dog Training

Struggle with vet visits or grooming?

Training can help your dog learn to be calm and confident during vet visits, grooming, and everyday handling.

Want to start off right with a new puppy or rescue?

It is never to early to start working with your puppy. Learn how to lay a strong foundation for a happy life together.

High energy or over excited?

With training your dog can learn how to settle down on their own, great visitors calmly and develop productive outlets for excess energy and drive.

Teaching an old dog new tricks?

Dogs can learn at any age. It is never to late to learn how to communicate with your dog or address challenging behaviors.

Are walks a battle of wills?

Learn how to make your walks enjoyable for you and your dog. Your dog will learn to keep the leash loose and respond calmly to distractions.

Does your dog have BIG feelings?

If your dog has over the top reactions to new people, dogs or other triggers, I can provide you with a tool kit to teach your dog to remain calm in any situation.

My Approach

"Chelsea was so helpful and it was just our first session. She listed to what I felt was needed and offered training ideas and also added what she would add to the training plan. She is practical with her training approach and has a very calm demeanor. I would highly recommend Chelsea."  - Sally

"It was perfect. Just what Chessy and I needed."  - Virginia

1

The first session
During our first session I will get to know you and your dog. I will work with you to develop a plan to achieve your goals, working with your schedule and lifestyle.

2

Learning new skills
For every training exercise, I explain the science and reasoning so you’re not just following steps; you truly understand how to respond to your dog’s unique behavior.

To do list already too long? I can also get the dog training done for you.

3

Personalized feedback
I treat each client and their dog as individuals, rather than using a one size fits all approach. During each session I will provide feedback to fine-tune your technique and avoid common pitfalls. After each session you will receive a copy of my notes from the session and handouts to help you continue to practice and progress between sessions.

4

A supportive partnership
I want you to feel confident and supported throughout your training journey. I encourage clients to reach out by email or text anytime they have questions, even if we haven't had a session for years.
